Outdoor Bar

Sandbridge , Virginia

A Sandbridge, Virginia customer contacted Brickstone with a challenging request. She had beautiful home with a pool located on a canal, just off the ocean. She wanted to create something distinctively unique under her deck , an outdoor bar for her family’s enjoyment. This was meant to an eye catching view from the water. Brickstone’s Outdoor room designer, Megan Becker was assigned the task of helping turn our customers ideas into a reality. After meeting with the customer and studying the layout, they decided to put a large outdoor bar, with outdoor refrigerator, trash can, ice chest cooler drawer, bar with ice compartment and a locking cabinet. That’s not all; a coordinating dining fire table was selected. The color selection was designed to complement the homes location. Sun, sea and sand.  A bold blue was selected for the curved bar islands base. Made of our GFRC concrete, it was acid stained a bold blue. A sand colored concrete countertop, with a 4 color mix of recycled glass (blue, green and 2 shades of aqua). A travertine fire table and fire urn matching the countertop completed the picture. Fire glass for the table and urn were sourced from Utah to match the aggregate in the countertop. Results were stunning. Our customer now has re captured an underutilized outdoor area and turned it into an outdoor room that will entertain family and friends for years to come.

Note: one of the pictures displayed is a sample piece for the countertop that was not selected. The sample show was a sand colored base, with Mother of Pearl fragments, that we brought in from Norway.
