Brickstone uses GFRC in all of our products. GFRC is already know to be superior to concrete because of its mix design, that makes it stronger and more durable, while also being 25% lighter in weight.
This alone makes us superior to other products.
We didn’t stop there. Brickstones product is superior to regular GFRC. We at Brickstone use special pozzolans in our mix design that leap frog us over our competitors. Our pozzolans are made up of recycled glass that replaces 25% of the Portland cement. This is what makes our GFRC a “Geen” product. Our mix design gives the following benefits:
- Reduction in surface imperfections of precast parts due to the pozzolanic reaction with the lime. This creates less effervescence during the placement and the curing process.
- Colors are more intense and will remain brighter with time due to the lime being locked up.
- Our parts are 25-29% lighter than concrete
- Increased compressive strength
- Decreased permeability
- Increased durability
- Mix-color neutrality and brightness
- Improved retention of mold detail
The choice is simple; don’t you want the best for your money?
