BRICKSTONE STUDIOS has been in existence since 1989 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The founders combined their experience and training as artists with the bricklaying and stonemason industries. They had a vision for creating works of art in the medium of brick and stone. Brickstone Studios has been responsible for many nationally recognized commissions, ranging from memorials to historical stories set in brick.

In 1994, BRICKSTONE STUDIOS began using glass fiber reinforced concrete, better known as GFRC. GFRC added the capabilities of a carved or cast appearance for less cost, less weight, and more flexibility than many natural stones. GFRC is now used successfully in most of our products. The compliment of brick and GFRC was very attractive and popular at that time and has proven even more popular in construction art today.

BRICKSTONE STUDIOS’ production center has been in Norfolk, Virginia since 2001. Previous production often occurred at private studios and brickyards.  Many BRICKSTONE artists and sculptors utilize their own studios for small commissioned projects.  An additional location has recently been added to meet the ever-increasing demands for more and more diverse product lines.

BRICKSTONE has an artist on staff who coordinates projects with local artisans and sculptors, thus facilitating high-quality production in a timely and affordable fashion. We have skilled craftsmen in our carpentry shop, BRICKSTONE production, finishing and shipping areas.

Our expansion has been enormous over the last few years! Our plans for a national dealer network totals more than fifteen hundred successful merchants and we expect substantial growth in our business in the near future. We have regular inquiries from coast to coast regarding our sculpting capabilities and mantel systems and occasionally have international inquiries as well.
